Samdech Heng Samrin Urges Cambodian Ambassadors to Promote Interests and Maintain National Values

PHNOM PENH: National Assembly President Samdech Heng Samrin urged Cambodian ambassadors to carry out diplomatic missions abroad and uphold the national interest and honor. The President stressed that in any case, all ambassadors must protect and uphold national values.

According to Samrin, as an Ambassador, they must show and uphold national identity and dignity by continuing to promote Cambodia to foreigners, both in terms of art and Khmer tradition, as a nation with a prosperous culture since the Angkorian period.

This Tuesday morning, on the occasion of allowing three Cambodian ambassadors who have just been appointed by the Royal Government to fulfill their diplomatic missions abroad, to pay a courtesy call with the President.

Samdech Heng Samring has recommended the message to Ambassador of Cambodia to Japan, Tuy Ry, Cambodian Ambassador to the United States and Mexico, Residing in Washington, DC Keo Chhea and Cambodian Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines, Phorn Pov.

In addition to the above, Samdech Heng Samrin instructed all ambassadors to take care to facilitate and solve the problems of the Cambodian people in the countries where the Ambassadors are working in a effectively and timely manner, providing a clear information about the Cambodian people, students and workers living abroad. Ambassadors must also facilitate the Embassy's services to promote their well-being and protect their interests.

In addition, the President of the National Assembly encouraged all ambassadors to increase good cooperation with the ambassadors of other countries in the country, which he represented as the best to mobilize the interests of the nation such as attracting tourists and investors to Cambodia.
